Pajeon

When it's rainy, there is an appetising food and Korean's most loved food is 'Pajeon (pan cake with leeks).' And pajeon's best company is 'Makkeolli' or 'Dongdongju', types of fermented alcohol. These alcoholic beverages are normally served in an earthenware pot with a wooden ladle as you see on the photo. Pajeon, which we also call Korean pizza, can change its names depending on ingredients like seafood, kimchi, potatoes. If you come to Korea after receiving my SOS, I will treat you to these two.;)

You can also look around the photos of my home-made pajeon at my personal blog.

I love pajeon! My favorite is the one made with mung beans.

OK, dear Sunkyoung, we have a deal. You S.O.S. me, I teletransport myself to Korea right away and... we feast on Pajeon and Makkeolli. Yum! :)

(I see that we have another thing in common: we like to cook! I checked your other blog... That curry looks scrumptious, darling! And guess what I made tonight? Curry! Indian style, served over basmati. I think I'm hungry again.)

Used to go to a place in Sincheon that had great pajeon but also had oak tables with a "river" of dongdongju running constantly through them. You could just dip your bowl to get some more.Heavenly

Wow, food is definitely a thing that attracts everyone in the world!

Kegler - I hope so too. You may try one with seafood because I guess you have a lot of fresh seafood in Manila.

Ming - I like mung bean jeon too!

Fénix - What a deal! I haven't tried real Indian curry but I'd rather prefer Korean rice.:)

BW - Try one soon! You know it's easy to make.

GMG - I hope you had a delicious breakfast. It was my pleasure to see your blogtrotter.

Leo - Yeah, we use chopsticks to tear the pizza. This one above was kindly cut by a waiter's scissors.

Eliane - Merci! I bet you'll like pajeon a lot.

Leber - Dongdongju River!:D Up to how much did you have?

Haven't had a chance to find Pajeon yet since I arrived in Seoul but it's always nice to check your blog to see photos of what I need to try (thanks)!
